Related: About this forum6 more from the little town in France. One plant gave me the finger.
I was only there for one leisurely stroll of a couple of hours. It's near the border to Germany, all but in Mom's back yard. We drove through Alsace-Lorraine.
My favorite thing is to travel with natives .
To celebrate being in France for a little while it was imperative to eat snails.
Also, they were cheap.

(68,644 posts)The window kind- I love seeing them installed on windows in the correct fashion, as working features and not design accessories (as on a more modern American suburban home).

(14,889 posts)photos aside, snails are yummy!
Now for photo comment! The motorcycle one is awesome and I would love to travel through Europe on one of them. The Kougelhope with those wonderful hanging plants is awesome, and is the one with the shutters just below. The shutters look distressed which undoubtedly adds more interest to your photo. The window "looking at outside scenery" is not only unique, but truly makes my wonder about that other building. The following one . . . with the unique roof and rows of windows makes me wonder what the inside looks like.
And your last photo with those dark pink hanging type flowers . . . well I just say them in my area here last week! Don't' know what they are called, but they are really cool!
So that's my summary of your photo array.

(22,380 posts)that all of you know encouraging me is dangerous when I'm sitting on a wealth of new travel photos.
The window "looking out" is part of a huge church, one side of which you are seeing through the openings. I, too stare at the few I took of the 4 story attic windows and think of what it would have taken to get to see the inside!
I guess they don't make a smiley for "begging".
Thanks for your comments
