Please re-crop to the water line being directly in the middle. Then post that. I am curious. Hoppy Jun 2015 #4

I love the way those trees are in the reflection, but not visible above.

When you are reduced to searching thru pieces of the exact same color, peering for a faint ripple to distinguish real or reflected...those are the best!

Feels like summer up at Lake Hennessey, up toward that stretch that runs back along Chiles/Pope Valley road.

Or any of our other lakes and ponds scattered throughout the hills and vales.

And a highly manipulated photo. (posted some photos the other day from the same place.) Taken around 2:00 PM and messed with to replicate the golden hour.

Did you use some kind of gold reflector filter on your editing software? I know the NIK software has a filter for that.

I like the way it looks in the rushes, and the hard, metallic look it provides to the surface of the water.

The Perfect Effects module has a "glow" preset. I think this one was the golden hour.

I actually sharpened the reeds, then did the glow filter, which warms and blurs everything, did about a 40% mask to retain some sharpness in the reeds and added a vignette.

Have I mentioned I love this software?

When I'm more awake tomorrow, I'll post the original.

And photography is a heck of a lot cheaper (and easier to store) than painting.
