******SPRING CONTEST SUBMISSION THREAD*******

The theme for this contest is anything related to Spring. That could be whatever Spring has meant to you, be it budding trees and posies, newborn critters, wild changing weather, the thawing drip of snow, or even specific holiday joys. There should be a lot of artistic possibilities found within the transformations of Spring.

Submissions will run until June 7th or we have 30 entries. I'm hoping we'll get to 30 right quickly, as this contest is late getting started.

Here is the only stipulation I'll recommend for this contest and I'm taking it directly from last year's Spring contest, in which Mira was the hostess:

It is not a blind contest, and you are free to submit what makes you happy except please limit photo editing to a reasonable amount.
I would prefer your photo look like a photograph instead of a digital design. If you aren’t sure, ask the group in a separate thread. You’ll get plenty of feedback to specific questions. ~ Mira ~

Here are the rules:

The winner of the Seasonal Contest agrees to host the next seasonal contest (or they can recruit someone else to host the contest).

Only one entry per person, to be posted in this submission thread.

Please be sure to include a "Title" for your photograph in the Subject line of your post.

Keep your entry no larger than 800 pixels in its longest dimension and under 300K in file size.

If you need help posting a photograph or with image sizing, just ask.

The host/hostess is allowed to enter in the seasonal contest.

The submission thread is for photo entries only, no comments or questions. There will be a separate thread just for comments and/or questions.

I see by searching out last year's Spring contest that I'm rather late getting this one going, so get your submissions in as soon as you can, and hopefully this contest won't interfere with the June one. I apologize for my tardiness; I've never done this before, so please bear with me. I'm also sorry for starting this so late in the evening, but I'm on the West Coast, where it's still only 7pm; I figured since I'm late with the contest, I'd better get this thing rolling before June arrives.
