(19,459 posts)Blue Ridge Parkway. We drove it, and the Skyline Trail, in 2012.
This is part of the historic Mountain Farm park at Humpback Rocks, at the northern end of the Parkway in Virginia.

We live close to one of the entrances to the parkway.

(19,459 posts)Our trip down Skyline Drive/BRP was wonderful. Such lovely country!
We spent the night before we got to Humpback Rocks at a B&B in Afton, VA. Beautiful old house off of Afton Mountain road, with a great front porch. I could have sat out there forever.

(18,219 posts)Not only does it give great detail to the wood, but it also gives it a timeless look, and there is nothing there to indicate the era that this was taken. Lovely.
