Last year on this day I broke my upper arm. I was in the middle of running a contest, and had to type all lower case in excruciating pain yet somehow pulled it all off. You guys were wonderfully supportive and caring.
Thanks.
The funny thing is I'm in the middle of a contest again this Valentine's day. This year it's a matter of patience and time, and there is no lower case typing and no oxycontin to help me pull it off.
Happy Day to you all, my dear friends.
I'm grateful to have you in my life.

The rose is magnificent. I will forward it to Georgia O'Keeffe.

(8,039 posts)forever to heal. Happy V-day Ms. Mira, a bit late but well cleaning and packing and trying to prepare the velcro dog for me being gone. The rest of the zoo crew won't care. lol Stay healthy and in one piece this year please.
Hopefully the old man will not break anything this year either.
The DH and not blood related grand-daughter. Taken with his iPhone. Still waiting for my turn to get one.

I remember when you came back from being absent because of pain and healing broken bones. I had arrived while you were recovering and when you came back it was with photos of mourning doves, or birds, anyway, and I was an instant fan of your work.
Have a spectacular trip. I happen to know you will be in what is God's country to me. That is all I will say to give the group a teaser until we see some photos.
The light and the color in your portrait is perfect and the pose is so sweet.

Yesterday was my daughter's 19th birthday. We celebrated by ordering Chinese take-away and playing Scrabble.

(22,380 posts)I suspect you found that photo and it made the wheels spin in the foolish compartments of your mind. I'm thinking I might see if I can shrink that down and use it as a little picture for a while. You won't mind - right?
Playing scrabble with your daughter for her birthday and eating Chinese sounds like high times to me.
To have a child born on Valentine's day must be a special happiness that keeps on giving.
Thanks for all you are.

Thanks Callalily. You mean a lot to me out there in where cyberspace comes to a friendly resting place called the Photo forum on DU.
