A summerlike day in my garden

A beautifully balmy day. Temperatures in the low 80s and mostly sunny with a brief April shower.

Hostas and violets

Azaleas

The hello yellow tulips

A spider in the lilac

The spearmint's growing again

Fig leaves

All of these are so lovely. Love the close-ups and the great bokeh!

How nice to have this beautiful weather so early in the spring.

I love the first one especially. I have a thing for Hostas. All your photos are beautiful.

We drove to Wilmington, Delaware for a funeral this past weekend. 7 hour drive from NE Ohio and we went through your area It was indeed a gorgeous balmy day yesterday, like you said. We were on Rts. 283 and 30. I remember that it did rain in the afternoon. Loved seeing the Susquehanna River earlier. The mountains are stunning as well. When we got back to Ohio it was in the 50s.

The junction of 30 and 283 is only a few miles northwest of Lancaster City. If you're ever that close again you might want take a rest from the highway and spend a couple of hours exploring Lancaster. The city is 300 years old and steeped in local and national history; has great restaurants, theaters, museums, parks and music venues; and hundreds of gorgeous 19th century and older homes.
