For those interested, my train travel website:
"North America By Rail - A photographic land cruise across Canada & the United States"
has been totally rebuilt & revamped!
Much more user friendly - gone are the tiny little thumbnail pics, replaced by large images, so now it's simply a case of clicking the trip you'd like to see from the pulldown menus (Canada West, USA East, ect) and simply scrolling down to view the travelog, pics & videos.
Check it out if you'd like - hope you enjoy!
Cheers, Pete
(PS - stay tuned for the latest videos of our upcoming journey on VIA's Westbound Canadian & Amtrak's Eastbound Empire Builder)

Some evening I'll spend my leisure time, looking through it. I know it will be wonderful.
Thank you!

(621 posts)From Vancouver to Winnipeg in February. Then a tour up to Churchill for Northern Lights.
I must say, the train roomette was very small, maybe 4 by 7 or 8. The food was very good though. I never saw the Prestige section, which is probably luxurious!
The cars are old, could use some upgrading imo.
I'm thinking about a US cross country, or maybe eastern seaboard trip. Can you recommend a route?

(1,802 posts)For Amtrak, I would recommend the California Zephyr route (Chicago-Emeryville) - best bang for your buck in terms of scenery.
Thanks for checking out my post!

Thanks for all the great photos, this seems like a labor of love.
But I'm sure there is a TON OF WORK to maintain this website, so thank you for sharing with us.
