I'm already hanging out in here more. It's total chaos upstairs at the moment. I keep peeking into the Meta forum and slowly backing away again.

We might be close to getting all those folks here. That would be cool. I'm thinking when things are a little more settled in the big forum, I might remind people who are interested to check us out. I like this subscribe feature.

As long as we venture out into the wider DU world every now and then , I think we can all be pretty happy here.

Just need to pick up a couple more. The only problem is getting too insular. We're going to have to watch that.

my favorite thing to do. I love visiting new places, meeting new people, and seeing how they live. So I will be between here & there. GD is always interesting (going for a neutral word there!) but I have a feeling it will be really nice to have these groups as respites over the next year.

I'm worried we will have to be careful about what we post in GD, I'm afraid the hosts will be very strict.

they can only lock "threads that violate that forum's statement of purpose". That's it. But since the goal of the website is electing democrats, my guess is that fierce criticism of POTUS will be frowned upon. And I guess we'll have to see how they interpret discussion about OWS and systemic change. My personal feeling is that it's just as well to post much of it in here. Folks who are questioning our country will likely look in here anyway to see what we're saying. Those who are hyper-partisan aren't going to be open to listening anywhere.

We've got 80 subscribers so I intend to try to find interesting stuff for them to look at.
