(5,358 posts)1. Meeting starts several minutes late because person in charge is yakking away with someone who is already seated.
2. First topic of conversation is mentioned quickly; over and done.
3. Second topic of conversation is immediately derailed by someone who should be discussing their personal "situation" with their own supervisor. Or HR. Or a psychiatrist.

(19,847 posts)It's that '95%of life is just showing up' attitude. There's a ton of management types out there who think that meetings in and of themselves are accomplishments-- not the kickoff to accomplishing something, not the wrap-up afterwards-- the actual justification of their existence.
