3-4 episodes at a time.
I have all of West Wing and watched it again a few months ago. Was delighted it help so well,
but became very sad at again seeing the difference between Jeb Bartlett Whiate House and what the Bushwa had done.

A few months back I bought Season 1 of Dexter just for something to watch on my iPhone while riding pub trans. Everybody raves about this show, but I'm a HBO guy, not a Showtime guy. Everybody was right. Great show. I ended up buying all five seasons. I agree, 4 or 5 shows at a time is the best! (Sad news: I'm on my final episode. When I get home from work today, I will have no more Dexters to watch. :sadface

Mine was always Toby. Deep, stubborn, sensitive, quixotic. The way I view myself. Plus, able to attract really hot women! (Keep watching. You'll see what I mean...)

2nd Fave: Josh.

You'll like him more as the series progresses. Sam Seaborn is a little goofy and nerdy, (despite being played by Rob Lowe), but he gets some of the best speeches in the entire series. I use bits of them when debating policy with right-wingers. There's never a coherent response to them.

Leo McGarry has moments in the series that just make you ache inside. The late John Spencer, who played Leo, was a staunch, dyed-in-the-wool liberal. (Most of the cast are good lefties, including and especially Martin Sheen). I envy you, a little, applegrove. Seeing the series for the first time is transformative. And highly addictive...

And then President Bartlet nailed all of them right after that. A scathing indictment of anti-abortion fanaticism. Great way to wrap up the pilot...
