Jeannie bought a water squirt gun to use when they climbed the curtains or used the couch, instead of
the $140 cat tree to scratch on. Me, I just sit back and watch it all with great amusement.

...I have ever seen, all to no avail. One of our cats prefers any and all wood around the house - stairs door frames, the doors themselves, window sills. He looks right at us while he is doing it, as if to make sure we notice. Water squirter stops him at the moment, but has no long term effect.
