Need help! Anyone help me with attaching a jpeg

to a DU post? Opened an acct with Shutterfly and uploaded several pics. Some of these pictures are 4-5MB, which is the default setting on my camera. But when I link to a picture that I have on Shutterfly, I get only a thumbnail in my post.
Anyone?

just by the link or URL (from Shutterfly). You have to create a 'share page' and upload them there and then share that link.

It's just easier to use something like Photobucket. I know that works.

I went to Shutterfly on an impulse. It reminds me of Dropbox. In my opinion, a pain in the butt.
So you know of no DU setting that needs attention? I find nothing.
Thanks Curt

...like on PhotoBucket or somesuch, all you have to do to post an image on DU is to paste the direct image link - meaning that the link ends in .jpg, .gif or .png

As for the size of your image, it's always kind to resize it to something smaller via desktop software like RIOT. If the image is an animated gif then re-sizing is complicated and it would be best to include a WARNING in the subject line of your post.

DU auto-resizes the dimensions of images so that really big ones fit in the windows but it doesn't re-size their file size.

until I found Photobucket. But the other responder is right: as long as the image has a URL it'll post fine here.
