Any fans of Hammer Films? (British movie company)

I love watching those Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee vampire & Frankenstein movies from the 60's & 70's....I think the best vampire film they did was "Horror of Dracula" from 1958, the best Frankenstein one was "Frankenstein Created Woman" from 1967....

And though its not a horror film, another great Hammer film was the 1961 movie "Cash on Demand", where Andre Morel devises an ingenious way to rob a bank that is run by a Scrooge like President played by Peter Cushing...

Late at night, they would broadcast the films with little or no commercial interruption. I would sit up for hours, until 1 or 2 in the morning, watching the 'Dracula' films and other Hammer titles.

At the time, I didn't know about the 'day-for-night' filming technique, so I wondered why they always filmed the night scenes right at twilight.

For my money, they only made one serious mis-step, and that was "Dracula A.D. 1972."

But any time Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing shared the screen, it was a guarantee of killer entertainment. I especially enjoyed the Frankenstein movies, as it was blindingly apparent that Peter Cushing..."Dr. Frankenstein"...was being presented as the REAL monster. Favorite Dracula film has to be "Dracula Prince of Darkness."
