She's mediocre. Commercialized to the hilt street fighter facing nothing but oponents that were under-par who is out of shape, has no stamina at all and in desperate need of an attitude adjustment.
Holm is a REAL fighter with impressive actual skills, in excellent condition who trains, and instead of doing the talk show circuit studied her opponent and used everything against her. She's also gracious, grateful and a model of good sportsmanship.
With just a rather cursory look at Holm's history, I knew she'd clean Rousey's clock though I thought she'd probably do it in the first round. I also knew that Rousey would be stunned and not know what the hell to DO to try to get the better of Holm, foolishly thinking it would be another walk in the park for her, and no doubt didn't bother to check Holm out and train for this fight.
I can't stand Rousey, and can't stand how everyone thinks she's all that when she's just a step away from wearing a shiny cape and goofy mask - she's such a gimmick and doesn't even seem to realize it. I really hate it when someone like her makes such a mockery of a female sport. I couldn't be happier that she did exactly what I predicted - flounder about like a fish out of water till she got her head rung like a bell and kissed the canvas.
After this fight I'm hoping (though probably in vane) that people will wake up and see how mediocre she really is and has just been facing opponents purposely picked because they were beneath even her caliber. The media hyped her up - there's nothing they like better than someone with a bad attitude and a big mouth except for someone with a bad attitude and big mouth who finally faces a REAL opponent and gets their fat ass handed to them (and then the media will gasp at how "shocking" it was)... and the "fans" echo the media right down to their exact words. "Oh how shocking!" Pfffttt. TOTALLY predicted.
