3. I was there for a while -

I still live in NYC and that day I showed up rather late in the afternoon and was waaaay back in the crowd. It was a different time then: no barricades, no "crowd control." NYPD were there on horseback but no big deal. We just took up pretty much 75% of the park.

as a couple of them rode thru where I was someone started singing the Rawhide theme song:
