Just heard on the radio that Stevens Pass on US-2 in Washington is closed (at least in one direction).

(27,677 posts)Now hiking it is banned due to a cave-in a couple of years ago. I've always been fascinated by tunnels for some reason. I suppose Freud would have a field day with that.

(12,272 posts)Rather than wait for it to collapse on its own. 2.6 miles of concrete tunnel? You do have a fascination with tunnels, one I can't really fathom. I did visit and thoroughly enjoy Carlsbad Caverns though and also explored some of the natural caves in northern New Mexico.
