Is there a need to renew a 2 year Verizon FIOS contract? Everything I do results in

a greater monthly charge. All I want is the lowest internet speed 15/15 and basic TV. I wonder, do they jack the monthly prices way up when my 2 year contract expires. To me, it's ridiculous to sign up for a 2 year contract, pay more, and get channels I don't even want. I looked at their custom channel deal. It's a total ripoff. I'm going to let my current contract run out and then do month to month, I guess. Damn, these cable companies are a ripoff. For TV, I can't do over the air, I'm too far from the transmitters.

My last decision with this sort of thing was for cable/internet and I said it had to be high-speed, HD under $100/month and stay there or I'd move.

every time I try to change my plan they charge me more - I wanted to get rid of my land line, my bill went up 40 dollars, I wanted to reduce the channels I get, I watch so few, my bill went up, it is a great big scam. evry time I try to change something, they say I will lose all my credits and have to pay for more stuff. frustrating.

charge pops up. And if I keep my same plan, all my credits go away. And just about every time they try to push a landline on you. I'm so fed up with it all. I'm letting it go month to month and if they screw with me I'm just dumping them.
