vacuuming it up is very satisfying (as is removing that which finds itself in the cracks that are left with the loss of the grout!). And also yes - with two dogs and three cats, watching the tumbleweeds vanish into the end of the hose is a great and wonderful experience!

Every aspect of it:

The sheer tediousness of it

Moving, positioning, erecting a heavy ladder scores of times

Climbing up precariously high

Scooping up a disgusting muck consisting of dead and decomposed leaves, asphalt granules, dust and trying to bag it while maintaining balance on a ladder

I love the trees in my and my neighbor's yards for the looks and the shade, but they are a big PIA come fall.

I actually don't mind raking leaves on a brisk fall day though; it's just trying to bag them that's such a royal PIA.

They sell these mesh coverings that snap in place for most gutters. And they're fairly inexpensive. I was just looking at purchasing some for our house. Fall leaves are beautiful but murder here in Upstate NY.

but I did manage to make this last week.

I donated it to a local non-profit for their fund-raising auction. They provide therapeutic horseback riding for kids that need it (my daughter got therapy there for years and I would do anything I could for them) that's their logo on the front. It's exactly the same sporran I make for my kilted adventures but I changed it to have a strap like a little hand-bag. (and it has a belt loop in back so it can be worn on the hip if wanted)

yikes! didn't know it would be that big - thought I picked the forum-friendly size.

Also, to answer OP, the same - I hate cleaning up after projects.

My least favorite household chore, if you want to call it a chore, is

cooking.

I HATE to cook.

If I could have someone do my cooking for me, I would be tickled pink.

I have these new low water use "pressure" toilets. There is so little water in the bowl, that you can't use a blue bowl cleaner to keep the bowl clean. So right after every "major" event I have to get the bowl brush out and scrub the bowl. Wish I could afford one of those Washlet S350e Toilet Seats. Has an bowl cleaner setting. $1500.

51. Cleaning litter boxes.

We have 3 cats, 4 litter boxes. It's my job to keep them clean. Yuck.

I have a very messy dining room table. Right now (and for the past 10 days or so) the table has nothing on it but dust from sandpapering the varnish off. Can't use paint strip or a belt sander because the table is veneered and the veneer would come up. It's an old mahogany table; got it at an estate table 10 years ago along with six chairs for $150 and it was old even then. The top has been damaged more times that I care to think about. We came to the conclusion that there were several choices: keep a table cloth on it at all times, toss it out, or refinish just the top of the table. I told my daughter and son-in-law that if they wanted a new table/chairs they could go ahead but I'm not paying for it. So, I'm painting the top of the table. There will be no matching colors with the legs and chairs, so I'm painting the top with a dark eggplant. Looks dark grey at night but during the day it has a hint of deep black/purple. I think it will look fine. Or, we could go back to Plan A -- tablecloth.

It's that porcelain throne I take issue with. But I hate the thought of anything less than a pristine potty even more.

Next in line on the hate list is doing the dishes. And I wish someone would invent a super-sucker vacuum cleaner without a cord. The damn cord is always in the way. Oh, and all vacuum cleaners should have headlights just like all cars should have wing windows and rear windshield wipers. I really miss wing windows.
