Three of the number one seeds are predicted to be Kentucky, Syracuse, and UNC. Few would even attempt to argue those choices. The big question: who is number four?
My prediction is that the fourth will come from the Big Ten.
Who else wants to chime in?
(Just wanted to add-with Carolina's loss and injuries, there is talk about UNC possibly dropping to a two. It would be interesting to see if all four one seeds all lost their conference championships.)

(29,674 posts)They lost the Big 12 in the semi-finals to Baylor, Baylor lost to Mizzou.
I live in Big 12 country and most around here don't think KU deserves it. The argument here is that it should go to MU, which is why I think it'll go to OSU.

(53,475 posts).... I hope we don't see Michigan State again this year. Like the 2000 team, this is not a great team, but plays a style that keeps them in the game. Usually.
In 2000, the Badgers went 18-4 down the stretch, with all four losses coming to the Spartans, including one in the Final Four. I got to be there, and it was a blast anyway.
Let the fun begin.

(29,674 posts)and I love my teams. Saying that, I agree with you-no way it's ranked higher than a four seed. No way.
The biggest arguments for the final one seed will be for KU, MU, MSU, and OSU. I think it goes to OSU.

(29,674 posts)since I'm originally from there. In 2000 I was very pregnant and I remember screaming at the screen during that game, my baby kicking me the entire time.
Saying that, I think the final number one seed goes to OSU.

I live in Big 12 country now and this is the only solution that will allow the fans here not to be butt-hurt by any decisions. Give it to a Big Ten school and they'll say "Not my first choice but...". Give the one seed to KU and the Mizzou fans (myself included) will scream bloody murder. Give it to MU and not only will KU fans scream but I believe it'll leave MU at a disadvantage. (With a one seed MU will lead the West and play in Phoenix. With a two seed they'll be in St. Louis-a distinct home court advantage for them. They're better off as a two.)
There are a few other schools that deserve some consideration but the big four of discussions will be the winner of the Big Ten and the fight between MU/KU. Remember, this is also MU's last year in the Big 12 (and probably last year to win a conference championship).

(29,674 posts)Mizzou fans are po'ed that it happened but I feel that Mizzou has the driver's seat at this stage of the game. They've yet to make a F4 but could this time.

(34,658 posts)My prediction is that half of the bunnies will be coming from west of the Mississippi this year and that the Number One bunny will be coming from New England.
The Final Four bunnies will have a Hop Off on the White House lawn on a date as yet unannounced.
This is the first year hunting dogs will be allowed to attend.
