jewmas dinner was supposed to be latkes and crock pot brisket, but the power went out, so the latkes were a no go and my sister burnt the shit out of the brisket on the grill.

i kicked it off today with pulled bbq pork (homemade bbq sauce) and roasted taters. i'm going to bake all day tomorrow - chocolate chocolate chip sour cream loaf, cranberry loaf, peppermint cheesecake brownie bites and no-bake chocolate peanut butter oatmeal cookies - and i bought a revenge brisket for supper. i also have chili and corn bread and baked pork chops queued up for the week. i'm off work, so i'm just going to go nuts.

eating leftovers and pizza. I'll send them your way next. Your menu sounds awesome.

Bummer about the burnt brisket on the grill. Tell your sister you gotta cook the brisket low and slow. I probably would have used indirect heat.

and, like a fool, i trusted her. we had it in a pan with the broth and onions and holy carbon, batman. at least the meat was edible.

And maybe next year you can cook once and then explain that you are finished! Holidays are for you also!! YEa, never works with my cat, but...

what time they will serve dinner and we will bring the wine for dinner and I will buy pies. Otherwise Dad and I are going to a restaurant.
