I'd love to show this to a couple of climate-change deniers that I know, just to see their reaction.
Not a speck of snow down here in the foothills of the Northern Cascades yet, either.
Somebody needs to do a bit of rewriting and create the song, "Where Have All the Glaciers Gone".

(26,291 posts)The predicted temp for Christmas day vs annual average temp might do it but I wouldnt hold your breath on that as they probably would still deny it.

(46,436 posts)but Anchorage normally would have had a couple of feet of snow on the ground by now, but instead we have about six inches. According to this link, both Anchorage and Bethel 77 miles from Quinhagak) should have had about 10 inches of snow in November and another 10 inches in December.

This is not a normal winter in Alaska. I've lived here since 1975.

(46,436 posts)I heard on the local news a couple nights ago that the climate is warming in the Arctic twice as fast as it is elsewhere. I liked winter - if I wanted Seattle weather, I'd move to Washington.
