Does this describe someone you know?

Hey, something weird happened to the original post so I'm trying again:

***

I'm doing research for a book on people like this:

We’re talking about people like Dee Dee Jasmine, pictured above. Dee Dee had a promising career as a showgirl in the first interracial casino and stage show in Las Vegas. Yet, because of the casino’s bad management, bad location, bad timing and bad luck, Dee Dee had to leave the stage. Years later, she founded ETTA, Educating Through The Arts, a successful after-school program for children.

The book is a celebration of people who never became a star but found success in social and progressive causes. This is a way to put them in the spotlight that they deserve.

More info and contact information for referrals are available at the original announcement: http://lesterandcharlie.com/2014/10/27/looking-for-rising-stars2/

Any assistance would be appreciated!

If you've got a glitchy thread link, you can still find your thread by scrolling back through the Lounge threads. And when you click on it, you can save the link and it will work fine. And kicking it should put the good link in 'My Posts.'
