Mrs. Lib and I were talking about a friend who is always quick with the unsolicited advice.

So what kind of unsolicited advice you getting these days?

Or if you want, tell me what I should do!

I usually say "go ahead!"

another one is "you know how much those things are worth?" but they never actually offer you any money...

making a point of NOT beginning sentences with "you should" or "you shouldn't". There are other ways of offering advice and I've tried to do the same with my kids. It helps.
