Stop giving Oprah Oscars,

just stop. She has been in maybe two movies and produced another few. She is a very big TV star, but compared to so many in Hollywood, her film footprint is invisible. I know everyone loves her, but stop acting like she is big part of the movie community. Enough already!

I was unaware she'd won any others. I don't watch the Oscars unless I or someone I know is nominated.

Since then they have given her two (or maybe three) honorary or special oscars. It is getting tiresome.
They gave her one last night for something or other.

In fact, the film was completely and inexplicably shut out. I don't know how many noms it got, but it didn't win a single Oscar. And that is a crying shame. (Winfrey deserved it.)

I'd always thought she'd won and never bothered to check the fact of it. I was a child when it came out, I didn't see it until I was in my teens.
