I just saw Guardians of the Galaxy and I have to say this about Marvel Studios (No Spoilers)..

They took an obscure set of characters, created a snarky trailer that got everyone curious, and now they are set to make almost $100 million with a movie that was pretty good. Hats off to Marvel.

With a wide demographic like that it will do very well.

His vision for these z-list characters has been vindicated. It proves that you don't need A-list IP to make a great comic based movie. The sequel is already planed for 2017.

Gunn mentioned that he wants to do a Thunderbolts movie. I think he'll get whatever he wants after Guardians success.

So cool. Be great if he'd have a role in the next one; he can always bring the snarky humor.

I wanted the T-Shirt, the Popcorn... I didn't even eat an eighth of, which was sad.

THAT must be why my wife sent me off to secure seats while she waited in line at the snack bar - she must have known I would want the shirt too if I had seen it.
