that the cups they were using on the Next Generation were exactly the same as a set I'd had for years, little glass beakers that came with my Bodom French Press.

the captain.

I did not like Kate Mulgrew back when they tried to make us all think that she was the woman that Peter Falk had loved as his wife in his outstanding show. Columbo had been one of my all-time favorite tv mysteries and when producers decided to literally fuck with our memories of it, by stupidly manifesting a former unknown, off-screen character, I was aghast.

Then, when Voyager came along, I just could never wash away that disgruntled feeling, so, like with Mrs. Columbo, I didn't watch it.

And on Voyager, I will admit she's one of my least favorite characters.

I think that there were many original fans who were outraged that they had the nerve to cheaply portray the invisible wife of Lt. Columbo. That show even had to change it's name (and hers) to continue on into a second season.

I did like the part she played in this:

And after all, aren't the Ferengi basically allegories for Guatemalan glassblowers in the real world?

into a little blue angel.

And if Ferengi's could actually do that, they'd certainly sell those angels for a whole lot more than the Guatemalan glassblowers do.
