Florida man stages break-in of own house after wife tells him to go back to work

"A Florida man whose wife insisted he leave the house and go to work was arrested yesterday after he staged a break-in in order to stay home.

According to police in Brandon, Florida, surveillance video shows Yeager and his wife leaving their house at approximately 6:30 a.m. It then shows Yeager returning to the home at approximately 7:15 a.m., walking in through the front door, then lifting the blinds and opening the front bedroom window.

He then exited the house and called police. According to the 911 call, Yeager said that he returned home and found “my door’s wide open, my windows to my son’s bedroom are wide open. My TV’s in there on the ground.”

When the dispatcher asked if there was anything missing, he said, “I called y’all right away. All I see is the front-door wide open. Called my wife and I asked her, ‘We did go out the front door, right?’ She said ‘yes.’”"
