of freezing rain, sleet and snow). A few daffodils have bloomed and a couple of buds on the forsythia are showing color. I'm pretty sure we haven't seen the last of our bad weather, but maybe we've got the worst of it behind us now.

We've had a total of 33 days of 0 or below zero weather up here. Crocus' won't break ground for another month.

Nice to see photos of them though...

and they are definitely a sign that spring is coming.

I've had tiny really white weed flowers for a week or two -- Pennsylvania bittercress. This is one of the earliest plants to bloom, although it's an invasive and pesky weed.
