I'm going on a rant

and I don't care if anyone reads this or likes it. I'm just literally fed up. All I have read about today is how much middle class citizens are screwed over. Or used to be middle class citizens. We aren't that anymore. We live in a third world country, unless you are super rich. Today is my 4th day without going to my first job because my vehicle is in the shop because of an accident that I had when I was ridiculously tired. I accidentally clipped a guy driving home from work one day because I was so tired from working 7 days a week. AND I still have trouble paying my bills. For F(*% sakes. And now, because I have to get my headlight replaced, I am without a vehicle. They initially told me it would be 4 days to fix, and then they changed their minds and said 10. That is 10 days I am without my second income. 10 days. When you are an hourly employee, that means not paying a lot of bills. A lot.

I am so sick of republicans and their anti jobs rhetoric. Actually, what I am really sick of is their rhetoric of, "well if people applied themselves, worked harder, didn't use the system..." mentality. You know what? I worked really hard all of my life to succeed. I grew up somewhat poor. My parents were farmers and teachers. We didn't get everything we wanted. I was expected to go to college on scholarship, which I worked super hard for and did. I have worked hard all of my life to succeed and I was successful at one point. And then one bad job screwed me over. And do you want to know why? I have morals. I worked for a school that didn't like when I questioned them on their questionable practices so they could make extra money on students trying to make a better life for themselves. It's all a sham.

This is America as we know if folks. I thought I had it all until I didn't. And now I take out payday loans to pay bills. I literally work 7 days a week to keep afloat. This isn't life. This is a slow, painful death. I have a master's agree, and that makes me overqualified in a lot of people's eyes. How sad is that? I'm thankful for the two jobs I do have. But come on. Why are there a lot of people everywhere working jobs for wages way too low for them? it's because there are no good jobs to be had.

If you think we are suckers, and by suckers I mean the American population as a whole, you are right. I am frightened by the people who follow the republican doctrine. These are uneducated people. They vote against their own interests, because you know, we can't kill babies that haven't even been born, but they don't care about people that are. And from what I can tell, the people that are, are pissed off.

And some days I'm depressed enough to think that wouldn't be so bad.

And it's always ok to rant here.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Nothing the republicans are saying makes any sense to me, either.

pm me if you want to vent, anytime.
