And they'd always try to sell you shoe care items like brushes, buffing cloths, shoe trees, etc.
Also socks.
That was a long time ago.

Now it CVS or Walmart for laces.

They used to be big in selling shoe shine kits. Even the "taps" that teens thought were so cool when they clicked the midnight streets! But you would think that at least a sad pair of laces would have survived in todays show society!
