Four actually. Kidney damage, followed by a year of surgery. Painful as hell when inserted or removed. Dopped to the max on demerol after the procedure, but during was excruciating. Was actually a tad nervous because my surgeon had the book out and consulted it during the procedure.

(Actually where I work, one of the surgeons ties the stent to the Foley catheter so when you remove the cath, you remove the stent--this is after a kidney transplant. I've seen my share.)

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
