DU Album of the Day: Led Zeppelin I
42 years ago today a legend was released. The very first album by a band that was coined by Keith Moon 'to sink like a Lead Balloon'.
And this album contains what I believe is the greatest side 1, song 1 of a debut album EVER!!!
My personal favorite song on the record has one of the best organ intros - "Your Time is Gonna Come". I joked with a friend that this would make a good song to play at a funeral (aka like "Can't Always get What you Want" in the movie "The Big Chill"
but then again who would want a song that starts with "Lying, Cheating, Hurting, that's all you seem to do". Then again if I ever have to play my ex-boyfriend's funeral, rest assure this song might come to the top of the list
Now although this album was known for some very epic, sexually charged songs like "You Shook Me" and "Dazed and Confused", personally my very favorite epic song on the album was "How Many More Times"

But let's face it - to see Jimmy Page do "Dazed & Confused" live is something of awe and the reason why he is one of the best guitarists of all time
And let's face it, in that video Robert Plant well, I'll have to let it stop there because this is a PG rated thread and you don't want to hear what I'm thinking right now other than
