(7,515 posts)If you can prove its true, they don't have a case. If they can prove it is not true...you can be screwed. It usually comes down to whose attorney has the biggest brass ...cojones
In_The_Wind
(72,300 posts)Oh and ~ yes. I have proof.
One New York lawyer I will contact first or just not mention his name.
Only local people would recognize him anyway.
Very successful but not exactly note worthy except for one laughable morning after. [img][/img]

Cause that isn't always gonna work with me.
I hope you know that.
In_The_Wind
(72,300 posts)Were the words I used back in '93 as I attempted to reach Mr BD.
It took less than 5 minutes for him to drop everything he was doing to answer my one call for his help: regarding the breakup of my second marriage.
He offered to show me Manhattan through his eyes. Sitting in his limo. I declined. And never regretted what we had. Nor my refusal to kick back and enjoy one more wonderful ride with him.
He is part of my college years. In my early twenty's.

(7,515 posts)I wasn't disagreeing with anything you had to say! We are friends...friends sometimes cross swords or misunderstand intent. Friends, also, forgive and forget such petty nonsense. I love the beauty you create here.

(72,300 posts)What I will never forgive is the one (or a few) female DUer
who twisted my words that were said out front ... here in the lounge
so much that she took ohiosmith away from me when I needed his friendship, his support the most.
Someone told him lies about me.
On the same day that I had shared very personal true facts about my childhood. But it was okay because I thought my friends would be able to help me stop the pain hidden away for so many years.
I forgive him: for doubting me. For thinking that I would say bad things about him.
Ohio will always be my friend.
oh and, so will you.
Sekhmets Daughter
(7,515 posts)as a very upfront type of person...what you see (hear or read) is what you get. You, OTOH, give whole new meaning to
"letting it all hang out"
I am happy to call you friend...I sincerely doubt I would want you as an enemy!

(72,300 posts)I don't expect this to be easy.
But the end results will be worth every second in so many ways.
And I'll need my true fiends to keep me from giving up when it hurts too much to go on telling the truth. You mean a lot to me. for what it's worth. my two cents.
sheshe2
(84,057 posts)means a hell of alot more that no sense.
It's worth alot....
are worth all of the tears I cried at 12:19 AM answering you.
Oh and, I'm sorry my words brought tears to your eyes the next morning when you were the first to read memories locked away in the darkest moments of my childhood. When I was young, 21 .... trying to remember my lost years, a shrink said: the memories will return when you are safe.
Better now than lost forever.
Thank you she

(12,465 posts)It's a community for struggling book writers where you post your book and others provide criticism. It's run by Harper Collins, which is Murdoch, I know, but WTH. The atmosphere is very politically incorrect, and British, and the criticisms can be brutal but they helped me transform my novel to the point where I at least felt confident to publish.
In_The_Wind
(72,300 posts)I've dealt with enough brutality already.

(72,300 posts)Ramsey Hunt Syndrome forever changed my life. I was already permanently disabled from a neck injury. The home we just lost due to Bernard Madoff's Ponzie was a walk-in. No steps. No stairs. A rambling brick ranch style home hidden away in the woods just outside Woodstock. I also have a touch of arthritis in my hips. Now. I have four steps that truly are more than I can manage on bad days. Yes. I do understand.
Thanks for joining this thread, Jasana. [img][/img]
I sincerely hope you find everything you need here at DU.
