Instead of making a "boy band" that targets teen girls, I was thinking of starting a "man band" that targets their moms. I figure that I could dominate 30-40 year old female demographic with my "man band" and our crappy pop music.

I came up with the name "Awesome Sound Band featuring Victor". So, as the lead singer, when I die of a cocaine overdose in bed with a bunch of moms while on tour, the group could continue on without me and live off of my legacy - Kind of like the Wailers and/or Black Sabbath continued on when their lead singers weren't in the picture anymore for one reason or another.

Hey, you have to have something to aspire for

And even though they didn't write many of their songs or play their own instruments (at least initially), they had some truly first-rate talent working behind the scenes for them like Neil Diamond, Harry Nilsson, Carole King, and Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart.

The Monkees =/= Justin Bieber.

actors but Nesmith is also a first rate producer as well. Tork teaches Buddism at some community college. I don't know what Dolenz is doing.

I have to admit it's pop music so not much different than the early Beatles.

using his poster for target practice.

He has some staunch fans in my classroom; they insisted on the poster. Then the 99% "enhanced" the poster with markers and began using it for target practice.

I would have stopped them, but I liked the enhanced version better.

What are they throwing? The poster sits right above the trash can. They're doing their part to keep the room litter-free.

I just don't get it.

I do, however, know several 40-something ladies who get the vapors a teenaged crooner ... whass up with THAT??? Do they want to mother him or do him?

... Maybe both ... oh to be 17 again and know what I know now ...
