And I love long weekends. But I enjoy getting things done, I find it satisfying to cross things off my list. Whatever you enjoy is what you should do.

Remember, Christmas and New Years are on Tuesdays this year, you know what that means, two more long weekends!

We need more long weekends.

I used to work 4 ten hour days so I either Friday or Monday off.

That was great.

One day to get things done, two days to relax.

I am snug as a bug here, doing some things around the house that I have been putting off. Tomorrow I'm going to make a nice pot of turkey soup.

No madhouse shopping for this gal!

Left over turkey today.

Pizza tomorrow.

I wouldn't go shopping for anything.

Just a little peace and quiet.

Quite a few of the posts on the Buy Nothing Day thread mentioned folks staying at home. It does feel good to stay in , far from the madding crowd.

Incredible film and well-worth the purchase price.

If I can't buy it online, they aren't getting it. Stores are too crowded, too many out of control kids, too many sick people spraying germs all over.

And I can usually find better prices online. Many companies have free shipping now, too.

Point, click, ship.

I've just got over some nasty cold during the workweek and have just began a 4 day weekend as I burn up the last few "use it or lose it" vacation days. I plan to use this time off solely to relax and recuperate: If I don't go any farther than a mile and a half from the house the whole time, that's OK with me. Next week I travel, which, when it's said and done will be good, but I'm still stressed out at the "loss" of next weekend to do it.

I'm really surprised at how much of a homebody I've become. I used to be so spontaneous and laugh at how I burnt the candle at both ends living in the fast lane. Anymore; if I have to wake up earlier than what would get me a solid 8 hours of sleep, I consider it a major disruption in my life that gives me anxiety attacks leading up to it.
