One way or the other, I'm breaking from broiled fish and steamed vegetables for chili dogs with beans and coleslaw. It's a statement meal. Not sure what it says, but it satisfies a craving, and tonight's the right night.

Easy and awesome.

It's either that or we're eating ice cream, 'cause there's no way in hell I'm spending more than 15 minutes in the kitchen.

The black bread sounds awesome, but the husband wouldn't eat it.

Mine are simple. Kaiser or some other hard roll, Black Forest ham, green onions or chives, tomato and a thin slice of sharp cheddar. For dipping: mayo with a little dijon mustard and a dash of basil and a pinch of sugar. My husband is addicted to them.

in one of the restaurants in McCormick Place. Then, we went in and stood for five hours, waiting to see and hear the President's victory speech. It was great to be there as a guest, even though it was hard to stand on that concrete floor for all those hours.

Yay for our side!!!!

They deliver it in electric cars and take your old boxes to compost (and the boxes work like $1 coupon!)

And this for desert:
hemp brownie -
Rich chocolate brownies with a hemp explosion. The chocolate might give you a buzz, but the hemp won’t.
