I'll be happy when this semester is over.

I'm taking a math class called Finite Mathematics. The teacher described finite math as anything that's not calculus. We are studying linear equations, linear programming problems, standard maximization and minimization problems, matrices, and we are just getting into set theory and probability. The material is difficult, but what makes the class grueling is the homework. Last week I spent 12 hours just on homework. Then we have a mini quiz to start each class and a regular quiz once a week. I think we started out with 19 people in the class and we are down to 10.

The other class I'm taking is a professional writing class and it is an online class. It is easier than the math class, but it's had it's challenges. The class was split up recently in groups of four and each group had to write some type of proposal. I was the assigned leader of my group. Well, one of my group members decided not to show up for the first two weeks of the project. We were almost done when she decided to chime in and then she was so far behind that she was no help at all. There was a little drama between me and her when I called her on that bullshit. I haven't heard from her since. When I turned in the project, I had to tell the professor about our problem.

I guess the experience in the English class is going to be good for me in the long run. My major is business administration and I'll probably have to deal with people in my line of work who are trying to skate. Right now if I run across someone at work who doesn't want to work I can just ignore them which is what I usually do. I don't report them to the boss. But right now I'm not responsible for managing people.
