(18,705 posts)The show has started really well.
Zombies to be killed.
Will not say anymore.

(46,776 posts)Helicopter went down. Andrea and Michonne meet up with the new group of humans.
Brigid
(17,621 posts)A helicopter crash. Some pretty gruesome zombie action. Nina and Andrea seem to have been hurt. I don't know where these military guys came from.

I don't want Merle to f*ck with Daryl. Daryl's a good guy; Merle is bad news.

(56,829 posts)didn't realize that - I keep forgetting that you can keep editing posts in the new world of DU beyond the old 10-20 minute deadline, or whatever it was.
charlie and algernon
(13,447 posts)It looks like he could either become very evil or a key ally to Rick's gang.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)A thinking guy.
charlie and algernon
(13,447 posts)The Walking Dead needs a strong human villain, this could make for a great season.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)The Governor is not to be trusted.
They took out the army guys quick.
Might be the decoy zoombies the other guy was talking about.
Brigid
(17,621 posts)A lot went on over those seven months that we don't know about.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)This guy is twisted.
We all knew something was wrong.
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)Can't fault the guy for being a hardcore hobbyist.
Flaxbee
(13,661 posts)What happened at the prison this episode?
What's up with the whole Governor setup?
I am asking for spoilers...
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)The Governor is in control of Woodbury, a little town.
It looks nice but the people are under control by the Governor.
The Governor is twisted.
Flaxbee
(13,661 posts)I like my prison peeps! Wondering how the heck Hershel is going to make out. But this sounds interesting regardless.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Andrea and MIchionne are walking and they see a Army helicopter go down.
They go to check it out and the Governor and he men also show up.
The Governor's men kill the zombies, and Michionne and Andrea try to stay hid.
The women get found and taken back to Woodbury by the Governor.
The place looks nice but to nice.
At the end of the show the Governor and his men kill the National Guard guys.
He is just a dictator from what I can tell.
The National Guard guys would be hard to control, and they had lots of weapons.
The Governor is twisted, had a wall of heads.
This is a bad dude.
In between the women hang around Woodbury, they know something is wrong.
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)He was the one that found Andrea & Michonne.
Oh, when her zombie pets were making noise before that, and it seemed like the noise might let the governor & his allies discover them at the downed chopper site, Michonne decapitated them without a second thought.

dawg
(10,626 posts)Some women are just drawn to assholes. (Well, at least on t.v. shows. Maybe not so much in real life since I don't see any beating down my door )
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)She needed to shut up.
dawg
(10,626 posts)She didn't say much, she just stood around with that pissed off look on her face looking cool as could be.
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)While Andrea on the other hand is reverting to dumbass.
Systematic Chaos
(8,601 posts)He's intent on wiping out straggling groups of men, probably to raise the female to male ratio in his little paradise.
He's got this brainiac guy who's big on tea. Almost like a Goebbels to the Governor's Hitler.
But my early prediction is that Goebbels will actually turn out to be a good-leaning guy before it's over.
The aquariums full of heads are some creepy shit.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)No one to question his orders.
He needs women to repopulate.
I was thinking Hilter also.
He wants to control all.
People will give up their freedom for safety.
Sounds familar.

(46,776 posts)On Walking dead they just said that they put it in because one of the writers is a big tea drinker.
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)swipe for spoilers below.
In the comics, instead of keeping heads in a room, he kept his now zombie daughter chained up in the room. He had removed her teeth, and planted a big kiss on her... also, they had a pit/arena in town where they dumped people who fought against the zombies, in a Roman colisseum sort of way.

(903 posts)intead of sawing thru the rusty bolt he was handcuffed to.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)I think zombies were coming to get him, it as been a long time.
Sawing thru his wrist might have seen faster, not good thinking Merle.
I would think the pain and blood loss would have taken him out.
BlueMan Votes
(903 posts)he'd probably go into shock or something, just from the pain. (from cutting his own wrist).
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)I don't think he would have really made it in the real world.
He would have needed first aid quickly.
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)is calculating enough and willing to risk attacking a bunch of well trained and well armed national guardsman; how far is he willing to go to protect his world or achieve his ideas. Great introduction to a scary character.
Helen Reddy
(998 posts)So missed only the first episode of this season. But alas! AMC is showing all episodes on Sundays so noone will miss a beat. I am wondering where this Gov. ala David Koresch-type story line is going. A "The Stand" type epic show down at the end perhaps?
Duer 157099
(17,742 posts)And I don't see a problem with him keeping those heads. It probably serves as a reminder of what they are up against.
I like the Miles character (Rubicon). Although, the chemistry lab setup was a little hokey.
I would think that a small group would think that there is strength in numbers and that adding more people to their group would be a good thing. Not sure why the theme has become the living against the living instead of uniting against the dead. Just like politics I guess.
I don't get Michonne's cynicism. Why would she rather be out in the wilderness alone than in a safe community?
And why did she chop off the heads of her pets rather than stab them through the brain?
So many questions.

(1,999 posts)Still Blue in PDX
(1,999 posts)I spent the whole weekend watching seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix and then the three episodes and Talking Dead.
Never, ever liked zombie movies. Didn't know what I was missing!
