I am always just to young for a senior discounts when I eat out.

Today I was 2 years to young, most times I am just one year to young.

The only place I can get a discount is Denny's, it is 55.

Of course the Denny's near my house is undergoing repairs so I have to find another one.

I do like their breakfests.

Of course I don't look my age, so I have to be carded to make sure I am old enough.

I looked to young to drink for years and I was carded then also.

I have AAA, greats discounts there also.

This is one benefit to getting older.

I am also 55. I just handed the waiter my ID and said Thank-you and chuckled. It has been a long time since I have been carded.

kind of patchy, at best.

Even my mustache is weird...only grows on the right side of my face

Meanwhile, head hairs seem to be getting ever larger spaces between them

The same thing happened with my dad. His beard went salt&pepper and his hair has remained relatively unchanged. He's 71 now. My mom's 70 and she went full silver a long time ago. I don't know about my late grandmother on her side. She always kept her hair dyed a slightly darker shade of "Bozo orange". I really don't like dyed hair.

She was often accused of having a fake ID because she didn't look close to her age (and still doesn't for that matter). I haven't started thinking about senior discounts yet, but I suppose those days are coming.

I was notified that I had jury duty. But the notice stated that if I am over 70, I was did not have to serve. I was 72 at the time. In Georgia, certain counties have to get an emission test in order to buy a license plate, and I live in one of those counties. But if you are over 65 and drive less than 5000 miles per year, you can get a waiver and not have to get the test.

Says they're "left wing cawwmmy" group now ( his accent )

Even though he's just recently in the past year or so turned into a wingnut, he was always the competitive type that liked to "one-up" everybody. I remember when he first got his AARP card he flaunted it in front of me like I was supposed to be jealous of not getting perks. I just laughed in his face and said I'd rather be too young to be eligible any day. I ought to break his balls on that reversal now.

Anyway, what's with all this conservative dislike of the AARP all of a sudden? I don't follow the issue but now I see it's almost fashionable for cons to tear up their cards. Did they just change their stance?

Hi,

There is a long list of senior discounts, many start at 55. You just need to take the time to look them up on the web. Just search for list of seniors discounts. A friend sent me a list almost 2 pages long & I use it.

McDonalds has seniors coffee for 55cents, Arby's has a seniors day for people 55 & up. Take the time & look them up, it is worth it.
