Saw the new Mission Impossible Monday.

Thought it was pretty well done. Cruise might have some crazee religious beliefs, but he still has it when it comes to doing the action movie thing. Of course his stunts are not quite as wild as in the past so he has a good young cast helping out. If you like well made action flicks its a can't miss imho.

the movies detract from the original series. Ones a relatively low budget tv show that was highly creative and marvelously done. The other is a big blockbuster movie thats very well done, and the opening theme music still rocks of course. So in summary, one does not detract from the other.
