the 6 depressions in them for the oven. She just bought a can of escargot and melted some butter, cut up green onions and tomatoes. Warmed it all up. Took it out and 4 minutes before we ate she put grated mozzarella on top and melted it.

Sitting at a stoplight on a motorcycle when the drunk 17-year-old
in Mommy and Daddy's station wagon decided to blow through the
light at 55 mph and didn't see me.
.
Bruised and swollen left hip (SCREAMING pain if I touched it or
rolled the LEAST amount of weight on it) and both lower right leg
bones broken -- cleanly, but they took 7 months to knit back together.
.
Met Sam when she approached ME in a bar. Maybe the hottest woman
I've ever been with in my life, I asked her why she picked ME out of
the "every guy and a good percentage of the women" she could have
chosen.
.
Main reason? "Even though you were on crutches with a full-leg cast,
when you walked in, you walked in like you OWNED the place."
.
I've always been a (fairly) good boy with a (fairly) bad boy appearance.
.
Anyways, when the first insurance check came in (for the bike itself),
I took Sam to the finest restaurant in the area -- a French place in
an 18th C. Colonial farmhouse.
.
Wintertime, they sat us right near the fireplace and got me a pillow and
positioned a chair for my leg. EXCEPTIONAL menu, service and ambience.
An excellent choice to celebrate the glory of LIFE.
.
Appetizers? I talked her into joining me in two orders of escargot. I also
told her that they would come out on a ridiculously LARGE platter.
.
"Why?"
.
.
.
.
.
"So you can finish them ALL before they have a chance to crawl off the plate."
.
Despite my assholery... she ate and loved them all.
.
.
.
I consider them nothing more than a vehicle for outrageous amounts of
garlic and butter, though -- and don't think I would (or could) order them
prepared a different way.
