I keep hearing about the tragedy of Penn State, how horrible it was that these people covered it all

A fitting punishment. Unfortunately the Catholic Church may never see that kind of scrutiny.

It wasn't about Sandusky. It wasn't about the victims. It was all about what's going to happen to the football team and how people feel about the football team. Frankly, I don't give a shit what happens, but I do feel it is wrong to punish the poor kids on the team for something they had nothing to do with.

A corporation that engages in shitty practices should still be punished even if the CEO resigns or dies or is imprisoned. It's much the same here.

Too bad for the current team members, but that's how it goes. It's not as though the NCAA is punishing the football team for crimes committed by the English department, after all.

Even with the $60M fine and annulled victories and lost scholarships and bowl bids, PSU got off easy.
