(38,451 posts)Maybe I'll go when the theater isn't crowded on a Wednesday?...I don't know, I would like some
escape from all that we have. There is a very large theater not far away, that has it..& I could watch
and be totally alone.

As a bonus, wear sunglasses so you can glare at other people

(10,952 posts)I have not seen all the Spider-Man movies with Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield but this movie is an homage to all the movies. It has humor and sadness. There are 2 bonus scenes with the second one setting up the next Dr, Strange movie.

(12,682 posts)I see it as the end of a three movie origin story for the Spiderman we have read in the comics.
First movie - Peter is discovering his powers and has a mentor who helps him turn into a superhero.
Second Movie - Peter is faced with the decision whether or not he wants to be a kid or a superhero.
Third Movie - Peter learns what it means to be a superhero, and chooses to be Spiderman despite what sacrifices and pain being a superhero entails.
A lot of Spiderman loose ends have been tied up in this movie.
A big movie that was not too big, and moved fast. Just be aware of your bladder capacity.
Just my two cents.

TO ABSOLUTELY NO ONE'S SURPRISE, THE HOTLY ANTICIPATED MARVEL SUPERHERO FLICK ENJOYED A MONSTER DEBUT ON THE WEEKEND OF DECEMBER 17-19, 2021.

Something happened this weekend that, honestly, not many of us thought could ever happen again, even if those thoughts were somewhat tempered by the new state of precautions being handled by Broadway, Saturday Night Live, and other media enterprises the last few days. But it happened, and it happened big. And while one film, one studio, and one company can hoist a victory flag, we may soon see many others wave a white one.

Surely, you have heard the news: Spider-Man: No Way Home opened this weekend. Actually, it opened in theaters starting at 3:00 pm on Thursday afternoon, and by the end of the day, it had already grossed $50 million. That was the third-best preview number behind only Avengers: Endgame ($60 million) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($57 million), the two highest-grossing domestic films of all time. Through Friday night it had bested The Force Awakens with $121 million (versus $119.1 million) and trailed only Endgame ($157.4 million) for the best preview/Friday start ever. By the end of the weekend it had grossed a whopping $253 million, more in three and a half days than any other film released in 2021.
