Just gotta love completely incompetent phone Customer Service Reps (Cox Communications)

Wife is on the phone, and has been for over 10 minutes, trying to explain that there is a sudden increase in our long distance rate for which we cannot find anything forewarning us that it was coming.

All she's trying to get from the lady on the other end is a reason why there is a sudden increase of 3 cents per minute, or verification that there is an increase in effect.

Thus far, the rep can't even access the current bill my wife is looking at online, and they've been going around in circles over one simple fucking question.

Wife is now on hold for the second time as I type this.

And what galls me the most is that my wife applied to work there as a CSR about 7 or 8 years ago, but was told that in one of the areas of their fucked up little personality test she scored too low to be hired. Oh, the other two were up in the 90s, but because we're a couple of wallflowers and don't socialize a lot she got some pathetic score in the "Hi, I'm an Extrovert and I Pass Out Drunk at Parties Every Single Night While Talking About American Idol!" category, so no dice.

Still on hold. Fucking bullshit. Over an extra dollar in long distance charges. Fuck.

Ive done that kind of work, it is impossible to be competent. She was likely given no answer about the rate hike by her supervisors, and instructed to "push back" when asked by a customer about it.
