NYC to ban 'Super Sized' soft drinks?

I can see it now.

"Gimme a triple double bacon cheeseburger, mega fries, and a Noah's Flood Coke."
"I'm sorry sir, we are no longer able to offer the Noah's Flood Coke."
"OK, just give me two regular Jumbos instead."
"Coming right up."

Where there's a will, there's a way.

In PA you can't carry more than two six packs out of a bar at a time (state law). HopeHoops May 2012 #1
But it doesn't apply to supersized alcohol drinks! Go figure! madinmaryland May 2012 #2
if they banned that here, I'd just start carrying a big jug around NightWatcher May 2012 #3

You CAN however pay for FOUR six packs, take two out to your car and return to get the other two. That's actually legal. It isn't really practical since the bar take-out prices are double (by volume) what you pay if you get a case at a beer distributor.
