Morning Joe used to be an unapologetic Republican who played up to Trump in 2016 and wanted to be his VP nominee. Scarborough was a good friend of John McCain and was angry when MSNBC hosts criticized John McCain and tried to get MSNBC to apologize so that McCain would come on his show. His grudge against Trump for standing him up for the bland Mike Pence is now years old.

If for no other reason than to prevent future demagogues from bullshitting and brainwashing the people into oblivion.
