Dan Quayle on Hitlerism...

As bad as Bush was, Quayle was so much worse. The things that came out of his mouth perplex me even to this day. He was really a gaffe machine. Maybe the dumbest politician we've ever had and that includes both Bush and Palin.

I wasn't sure if he was prone to say dumb things because of nervousness or because he wasn't very bright.

But, face it, he was a dim bulb, the dimmest of bulbs.

As a Republican US "Senator" -- Dan Coats did all the work, and later actually replaced him -- he'd fit right in with McConnell's crowd, today.
