We have never witnessed this kind of affection on the road to, or in the White House, and it moves me. When people love the way they do it has to spill over. Ain't we lucky some of it is splashing on us?

I read someplace that a friend of Romney's kids said that Mitt & Ann always "met at the stairs around 9:30 or 10 then held hands as they walked upstairs to bed." I don't know why that creeps me out--it should seem nice but to me it is creepy. Staged, maybe, as opposed to the Obamas, who are genuine soulmates and partners. Their displays of affection aren't contrived.
