My World and Welcome To It....1969

This was a short lived series that was ahead of it's time .....this is the third part of a 3 part YouTube post I found that I thought was amusing and interesting.
In part 1&2 the father tries to buy a doll for his daughter on Christmas eve and fails, so he bought her a big flag which she flew and upset the neighborhood Tea Party Patriots...and they come to visit him...

This is the first time I have ever seen it mentioned by anyone else besides myself. Thanks for the blast from the past.

based on James Thurber. I actually met William Windom once. He had a one-man show about James Thurber, and I got to spend a little time with him before the show. Nice guy. Great show.

It was way ahead of it's time in the way it was delivered....but I suspect it was how the family was portrayed the pissed off the conservatives in charge....no Leave It To Beaver kind of family at all.
