Colin Powell Endorses President Obama

1. Wow!!! Great Endorsement By Powell.....

and he summarized very succinctly why. It sounded like the person that was interviewing Powell was trying to cut him off as he started to take Rmoney down. Then Powell delivers the second punch and hits Rmoney on his supposed strength - the economy and Rmoney's plan.

I know a lot of people here on DU don't have a lot of respect for Powell - but understand this - a lot of Repugs do. To those Repugs that do respect Powell - his words will resonate and perhaps he will influence some of them to vote for PBO as well.

I'll take Powell's endorsement.

Very good at explaining his reasoning

You can tell he puts some real thought into it, unlike, say, Clint Eastwood blaming Obama for getting us into Afghanistan and other bizarre nonsense.

6. Colin Powell

I am a retired foreign service officer, and I can tell you that Powell was one of the greatest Secretaries of State. He and George Tenet (CIA) were the only voices of moderation during the Bush years. I agree that his speech at the UN prior to the Iraq fiasco was a huge mistake, but Powell is a great american. On a related topic, I am voting early for Obama in Florida next week. On to victory and let's destroy the tea baggers !!
